Our Story

New Chapter Films started in 2018 when we filmed our first wedding — for free. Trenton, our founder, loved filmmaking so much that he simply wanted the privilege of capturing his first wedding day. Since then, we have been voted Couple’s Choice by The Knot and captured 100+ weddings across all of Southern California and beyond, keeping the same timeless, filmic look (and affordability focus) at our core.

We currently serve the Inland Empire, Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, Riverside, and surrounding areas. We can also travel upon request. We work with our couples to create a film that is exactly what they dreamed of, and one that won’t fall out of style as trends change. Now, we look forward to capturing your big day.

What You’ll Get

Here’s what you’ll get from us, regardless of what package you choose.

Highlight Film

Your highlight film is set to the song of your choice and crafted to capture the day as you remember it. Regardless of if you upgrade to our signature package (where we shoot authentic film), your highlight film is colored using our film emulation colorgrade, so it retains that filmic look we are known for.

Ceremony Film

We will set up one of our 4K cameras in the back row of your ceremony so you can watch it back from start to finish as if you were there.

Speeches Film

We will capture your speeches in their entirety, whether you have 1 speaker or 20.

Behind the Scenes Film

YES, we give you RAW footage. We take everything we captured throughout your entire wedding day and create a “behind the scenes” film of all the RAW footage. This way you can watch back all of the full dances or anything that didn’t make the highlight.

Drone Film

Drone footage is always included in your highlight as long as local airspace permits. We are Part 107 certified which is a fancy way of saying we have a drone license.

Our Signature

Years ago, we began experimenting with Super 8 film, shooting on authentic Super 8 film cameras in addition to our digital cameras. Our couples loved the look, so we decided to add a Super 8 option to our full day package which we have named as our Signature package. With this package, we shoot one roll of 50-foot Super 8 film to be used in your highlight film.
